TRAINER

Dr. Iris Duchetsmann

Dr. Iris Duchetsmann is based in Salans’ Shanghai office and heads the China employment law team. She specialises in labour law, particularly on aspects that involve cross-border employment and international HR management. She also provides advice on matters such as residency, tax and social security. Iris has extensive work experience both in China and Germany, where she successfully passed the examination for specialised lawyer in labour law, and gained insight on corporate processes working as an in-house lawyer in the HR department of a multinational. Her clients are international corporations and other enterprises and executives from various industry sectors, including automotive, energy, transportation, chemical, media, textile, consulting, etc. She is recognised by clients as “straightforward and very efficient” (Chambers Asia 2011). Iris is a native German speaker, is fluent in English and has a good command of Mandarin Chinese. She is a frequent speaker and author on international and national labour law and HR topics. Since 2010, Iris has been elected as Vice Chair of the EUCCC HR Forum.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

APPLICABILITY - These terms and conditions apply to the supply of conferences, workshops, events and exhibitions (the “Event”) by Thomson Reuters to delegates/attendees (“you”). 

ATTENDANCE - Each ticket is valid for 1 participant and login details are not allowed to be forwarded or distributed. Multiple users are encouraged to make use of the bulk ticket deals available at our website. Participants are not allowed to broadcast, stream, record or distribute the session. All participants are encouraged to turn their video cameras on during the class to increase interactivity with the instructor.

PAYMENT - Payment must be received by Thomson Reuters prior to attendance at the Event.

CANCELLATION - Should you be unable to attend, a substitute delegate/attendee is always welcome at no extra cost. Alternatively, provided you notify Thomson Reuters in writing (by letter, fax or email to julian.chiew@thomsonreuters.com) 14 full days before the Event, Thomson Reuters will refund your registration fee, less a 15% administration charge with a minimum administration fee of $50+gst.
Regrettably, no refunds will be made if less than 14 full days notice of cancellation is given. However if you cancel less than 14 full days before the Event, you may where applicable elect to receive presentation notes from the Event either electronically or in hardcopy.
Thomson Reuters reserves the right to change the date, venue and/or presenters of the Event at any time and without prior notice, and in any way deemed to be in the best interests of meeting the objectives of the Event. If Thomson Reuters cancels a workshop for any reason, your remedy is limited to a refund of the registration fee.   

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION - You are ultimately responsible for your own travel/accommodation bookings.  Should the Event be rescheduled or cancelled, no compensation for such bookings will be available.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY - Thomson Reuters will not accept any liability for damages or loss of property or valuables belonging to any delegate/attendee attending the Event.

DATA - We collect and process personal data about you for the purpose relating to this booking with Thomson Reuters. By proceeding with the booking, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data, and your data will strictly be used for the purpose of processing your booking and any future communication related to event. 

DISCLAIMER - Thomson Reuters accepts no responsibility for the views or opinions expressed by the presenters or any other persons at the Event. 

FORCE MAJEURE - Thomson Reuters will not be liable for compensation for any matter or disruption outside its control (e.g. evacuations, road closures, bad weather, earthquake, flight cancellations or road closures).
